The aim of the project:

To develop a responsible attitude of young people towards the conservation of natural resources, to promote the contribution to the solution of environmental problems and the reduction of environmental damage. 

 

Need of the project:

While working with youth and their families, we notice the growing gap between them and the natural environment: young people lack the knowledge of nature, its preservation and skills of enhancement, research experience in a natural environment. This eco-education project aims to make young people discover the natural integrity and harmony, foresee the effects of their actions on the environment and their feedback effect. 

 

Activities:

Interactive lessons on ecology and environmental protection; practical-creative tasks; thematic tour in Samogitia National Park; wetlands‘ cleaning activities; cognitive activities about wetlands, their importance and the need to save them; production of video film; presentation of the project to the local community; intercultural evenings; discussion, evaluation and self-assessment.
